WI v IND, 2nd T20I: West Indies beats India by two wickets to take 2-0 lead in 5 match series

In the second T20 International, West Indies secured a two-wicket victory over India, taking a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. India chose to bat first, scoring 152 for seven.

Tilak Varma, playing in only his second match, was the top scorer for India with a 41-ball 51, marking his first half-century at this level. Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, and Romario Shepherd each took two wickets for the home team at the Providence Stadium.

Captain Hardik Pandya contributed 24 runs from 18 balls, while opener Ishan Kishan scored 27 off 23 balls.

Tilak Varma’s fifty on tricky track went in vain as West Indies overcame a mid-chase slide of 4 for 3 to edge home by two wickets.West Indies successfully chased down the target of 153 with seven balls remaining, with Nicholas Pooran leading the way with a match-winning 67 off 40 balls.

India had previously lost the series opener by four runs in Tarouba, Trinidad.
